This webpage draws a line between Soren Kierkegaard's existentialist views, and later German and Danish philosophers. With Kierkegaard as a source of inspiration, these philosophers revive existential theories, and once again question human existence and God. This webpage allows us to put our findings into perspective, and to observe how other philosophers critically analyzed Kierkegaard's theories. The following website gives us a list of some of the most well-known philosophers history has to offer. Upon searching "influential philosophers" in a search engine, I found this site to be three links down. Beside every name is a brief and concise description of a philosopher's most famous and notable work. For students new to philosophy, this site is very much so "user friendly," and can help new students adhere and somewhat pursue what is to be a vast area of study. My only concern would be that the author only added information that he knew or had read upon before. There may be crucial points missing from the explanations, but do keep in mind that they are meant to be short and simple. (Harry and Quentin)
This website has broad information and data on numerous philosophers. This particular page regarding Godfried Leibniz provides sufficient knowledge about his philosophy and ideology. I started to research this guy since his idea that everything is predestined to harmonize with other things was interesting, and all I did to find this page was to google it. This website is also "a peer reviewed academic source," thus has considerable credebility. I found this website helpful especially for our research project, so I recommend everyone make a good use of this.(Shawn)
This site was useful in finding things I couldn't find on other sites; its layout is simple and the fact that it has a table of contents before each philospher allows you to get straight to what it is you were looking for; in erality, all these sites, for the most part, lack user friendly characterisitics, but this one is easy to use. Furthermore, the way the site explains the information seems more, 'down to earth' (?) for us, seeing as we don't have a psychology college degree. As Shawn said, I recommend everyone make a good use of it (Quentin).
Philosophers like Epictetus have many "famous" quotes, that it is sometimes hard to really know which quote is usefull for class-related work. This site lists Epictetus' more famous quotes in order of poularity to show us its importance in relation to other quotes. Although it is a very simple site, it has helped me to refine my search on Epictetus by concentrating on the more "valuable" pieces of information. (Sean)
Most of us have never heard of the Kabbalah before (myself included, before this project), and we also usually don't understand its explanations. What makes this site helpful is its description of the Kabbalah in simple terminology. It is straightforward, easy to understand, and reading it feels like a "class" instead of just "reading a document." (Edward)

This site was a very helpfull source, as it helped me to learn and research further into Epictetus' take on life. I learned here that Epictetus was most famous for his moral philospohy, and from this I was able to expand my reseach in a way that made it easier for me and my partner to learn about the "important" things about Epictetus' ideas of philosophy. This site written about Epictetus contains a lot of detailed information, especially when it gets to the concepts that Epictetus believed or came out with. My reason for including this link is that it contains many extracts from many books that are about Nietzsche and his philosophy. They are all "easy to understand" and "to the point" quotes that help you understand this one hard philosopher's ideas. This helped me throughout the project by being able to understand his ideas. At first, I did not understand anything about this philosopher. But, as I read through this web page, I started understanding his ideas slowly, and after that, I went on to my other sources to complete my research project about Nietzsche. (Nari)

This website gives us a wide-range of knowledge about Plato's metaphysics. Platonism and other general metaphysics that influenced Plato were specifically written here. The explanation is very easy for us to understand Plato's metaphysics. It starts with the concept of metaphysics in order to get the main idea clearly and then gradually explains Plato's own metaphysics and the nature of it. There are brief and concise points about Plato, especially the titles are bolded and large so it will be very easy for us to catch important information about him.
As for general metaphysics, I found some information on the website cited above. It gives an introduction which will lead to more in-depth knowledge and material for arguments such as the existence of 'God.' This is a short quote from the website " In a traditional systems philosophy "organization" might be seen as the fundamental principle of being, rather than God, matter, or the laws of nature. However it still begs the question where this organization comes from. In our evolutionary-systemic philosophy, on the other hand, the essence is the process through which this organization is created." (Filippo)
I found this website while just surfing the internet. I feel it gives an easy understanding to metaphysics than your average, boring website. It gives me a clearer understanding on the topic of metaphysics. I also like this link because the reading contains linked words. This allows you to easily understand the entire text because you can learn more background information. The only downside to this link may be that it contains such a great amount of information, a reader might not be able to intake all of it. Despite this negative I feel it is a very good link. This website describes a philosopher, Descartes' Metaphysics. Since my project was based on Descartes, it was easy for me to understand his metaphysics. Descartes concentrated on the existence of all things and the eternal truth. He is unambiguous that existence of things we clearly perceive are possible. Since he believes in God, he stated that God brings everything that we recognize as possible. Also all the eternal truths depend on God. He said, "… God cannot have been determined to make it true that contradictories cannot be true together, and therefore… he could have done the opposite." This website gives clear understanding of Descartes' metaphysics and some of his statements are useful in our lives. (Taku)
